I have been holding on to a MAJOR secret! A HUGE secret for SIX WHOLE MONTHS! I only told my mom, the couple, and a few friends I knew could keep my secret. Now I get to share it with the world! Okay maybe not the world, but all of you! I’ve been published in The Knot Magazine Michigan!!!

Let me take you back to how I got here! Five & a half years ago, I made the switch from just working as a marketer & events coordinator to photography. The truth, I really never had plans to go from planning & coordinating events/weddings to photographing them. However, one thing led to another & an extra year of saying no, I made the jump.

When I made that jump I set some goals of what I wanted for myself & my business. One of my goals was to get published, in a major magazine. In our industry The Knot is one of the biggest. I have had images put in magazines either via a vendor using my images or by paid advertising. This time however I submitted the photos for consideration. After almost eight months later I got the email that says, HEY WE LOVE THIS!

So here we are almost a whole year later & I finally get to tell the world. I get to share the news & check off that goal I set FIVE years ago for myself!!

With all that said, the feature is of Brian + Michaels wedding. The couples Wizard of Oz themed wedding, was held at The Michigan League. Which is located on the beautiful University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

I loved this day so much! Thank you to Brian + Michael for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day. All your Wizard of Oz decor & details were absolutely amazing. Michael your ruby converse are still my absolute favorite shoes to have photographed! I had an absolute blast joining in on the memories & the dance floor. I am sending y’all so much love!!

So now it’s time to create some brand new goals! I would love to have a full wedding featured! So that is my next goal! Maybe even a feature in the National copy of the magazine. No matter what I am gonna keep reaching for the stars. I am going to keep working hard to reach all the goals I set out for myself five years ago. So hang on tight to see what else is coming! There is definitely going to be more to share!
