When I think of Janel and Seth, I think of the type of couple who needs to be featured on the cover of Backpacker Magazine. The type of magazine for adventure seekers. Janel and Seth are all about the outdoors, and love protecting their environment. They showcased their personalities into their wedding by adding lots of beautiful greenery. As a Detroit Wedding Photographer, I love getting to explore all sorts of venues outside the city area. Grande Belle is one of those wedding venues and today!

The Special Moments

Weddings like Seth and Janel’s day are one of my favorites to be a part of, because it is so personable. They both focused on the joy of each other, and the moments with their friends and family. Keeping the details minimum, their wedding, to me, was more like a reunion. Good food and good laugher, with a casual wedding day!

I asked what Seth loved most about the day, and he had mentioned it was just getting to see friends and family from far and near. As for Janel, she was excited that the wedding day was just more like home. They love BBQ, and her grandfather was the one who officiated the wedding.

What I truly loved about their day is that they 100% took all the things they love & made them part of their wedding day. Seth built custom yard games like Jenga + Connect Four + Cornhole and MORE for their guests to use. For their cocktail hour, they made sure to be there & enjoy the appetizers as well with their guests. They also incorporated as many local small businesses in to their day that they possibly could. For me all of the things they poured in truly made their day one of a kind and special! I loved every second of getting to be a part of it all!
