If you were to go to Leigh and Jim’s instagram profiles, you would probably see in their bio that they are travel enthusiasts and fitness junkies. This describes their life perfectly. Both the bride and groom love to explore, celebrate with their friends and family, and are all about staying active. In fact, that is how they met! Leigh and Jim met at physical therapy clinic. This was when Jim was finishing up his pre med degree, and when Leigh was working on her master’s degree. So much has happened between then and now. In this, time, was their Castle Farms Wedding photographed by me, the Michigan Wedding Photographer Smitten Mitten.

On the wedding day, Leigh and Jim agreed on doing a first look outside in front of the castle farms. Leigh did write a letter to Jim, that really only set the emotions for their first look. Needless to say, even the vendors were in tears over how this played out. The emotion on their faces says it all about this incredible first look.

Another favorite part from this wedding day was the first dance as husband and wife. Leigh and Jim had this choreographed first dance that left the guest in smiles! It was so beautiful, romantic, and fun! I love seeing first dances like this, for it does bring out a unique side of the wedding day!

Come time for the ceremony, Leigh’s Aunt and Uncle walked her down the aisle, making these moments one of the purest of the wedding day.

In one of the hardest moments from this day though, is paying tribute to one of the groomsman. It was a few weeks after the wedding that he had passed away. He was a dear friend of the both Leigh and Jim.
